Freddy Krueger sets new Moomba Masters Jump Record

Freddy Krueger, world record holder, has set a new course record in the Mens Jump Semi Final in challenging conditions at the Moomba Masters this morning in Melbourne.

Last off the dock, Krueger passed up his first jump as debris from the weekend's flooding floated past, but on jump number 2 he STOMPED out a 69.3m (227 ft) jump high above the morning crowd.

Young Australian Tim Bradstreet (17 years old) showed he will be a superstar of the future, jumping 61.1m first up this morning off the shorter 5'6" ramp to make the Mens Jump Final, mixing it with the world's best on the Yarra River.

Plenty of action to come with all the 50th Anniversary Moomba Masters finals today - the top six from this Semi Final go through to tonight's Night Jump Final.

All the day's results here.
