RYAN GREEN AND JOEL WING TO MISS 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Sadly, two of Australia's most popular champions have succumbed to knee injuries and will miss competing in the 50th Anniversary of the Moomba Masters.

Champion overall skiers Joel Wing and Ryan Green have been crowd favourites at the Moomba Masters for many years, but injury has taken its toll at the worst possible time. Both hope to be back on the water again soon.

"I will miss competing at Moomba the most of any tournaments," Green said. "After so many years of great skiing it will be sad not being there. Moomba is my favourite tournament of the year by far. I wish everyone the best for this year and am looking forward to hearing all the fantastic results!"
Along with wife Sarah who retired from tournament water skiing last year, the Yarra River has been good to them. Sarah is a former Moomba Masters Slalom, Trick and Overall champion while Ryan has been runner up to Jaret Llewllyn on numerous occasions in the Overall and Trick event.

For now Ryan is working hard to be in top form by mid year and Sarah is focusing on being a mum to their children Fletcher and Daisy.

We wish Ryan and Joel all the best!
