To all concerned with the Moomba Masters International Invitational 2008 Championships


The 2008 Moomba Masters brought to the viewing public of Melbourne and TV viewers around the World, the Top Ranking men, women and junior skiers from all over the Globe.

An outstanding field of Australian and International athletes participated in these 2008 exciting championships, the performances of Skiers, Wakeboarders, Ski Show, Jr Moomba and the Night Jump thrilled and entertained the viewing public.

I wish to express sincere appreciation to all who contributed by giving their time and support to this prestigious World event.

Once again we have many volunteers:- VWSA committee,Tournament Directors Grant & Neil , Course Control operator (D.Kidd) Chief Judge (P.Beazley) and panel of Judges, AWWF Directors B. Cockburn and N Harris, (Jr Moomba and Wakeboarding) and judges who assisted in events, Media , Technical operators, Competition Boat Drivers, support crews, pick up boat crews, starting dock operators, swimmers and the many that assisted. Thank you

It would be remiss of me not to mention the support from the Melbourne City Council and Waterfest, Parks Victoria, Marine Safety Victoria, The State Government, Victorian Water Ski Association Directors and Moomba Chairman Max & Nicole Kirwan, all worked tirelessly to stage this event---Thank you
May you all hold fond memories of Moomba 2008 and look towards 2009.

In closing, the Directors of the Victorian Water Ski Association and Team Leaders have commenced preparations for the 2009 Moomba Masters. We look forward to your continued interest and support in the future of the Moomba Masters Invitational.
