Held from Wednesday 5th– Monday 10th March 2008 the Moomba Masters has forged its way as one of the world’s greatest championships, celebrating its 48th year of successful competition in 2008. The event continues to evolve, constantly realigning itself to express Australia and Melbourne’s distinctive and dynamic culture.

The Moomba spirit is entrenched in the Melbourne community and 2008 is planned to be bigger and better than ever before. According to government surveys, 950,000 people attend the event over 5 days making it one of Australia's and the world’s most popular free sporting events.
