FULL REPORT ON MOOMBA MASTERS BAREFOOTING HERE
Often regarded as the daredevils of the sport, barefooters tear across the surface at speeds above 60 kph on the soles of their feet.
In a sport where high speed faceplants are an unavoidable component of the learning process, the top barefooters fluidly execute slalom, tricks and jump as though they have skis on.
Like their tournament skiing counterparts, barefooters can thrill crowds with a huge variety of tricks including flips, toe turns and tumbleturns, as well as lightning fast slalom passes and gravity defying leaps off the relatiuvely tiny barefoot jump ramp.
Barefooting forms part of all good ski shows, and there'll be plenty of hot footing from some great skiers throughout the Moomba Masters 2010.
